About Our Education Initiatives
This committee is charged with educating the public, legislators, school staff and people with disabilities around issues relevant to Independent Living. The committee has also developed a curriculum called Include! This educates children on what it’s like to be a person living with a disability. The committee has also been working on emergency preparedness kits that promote coordination between the disabled community and responders to an emergency. Our overall goal of the committee is to educate on the issues around Independent Living that most affect people with disabilities.
